The Department of Parks and Recreation offers track & field and cross country meets throughout the year. Unless otherwise noted, these opportunities are open to all ages.
Spring Outdoor Events
Spring Cross Country Meets are being offered in March at the grounds of the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex. Pre-registration is required -- participants may register for multiple dates. Registration is available online only. The minimum required age to participate in the Spring Cross Country program is 9 years at the time of registration.
Please note, registration closes by noon on Friday prior to the meet. Fall meet dates are open to Prince George’s County residents only. Email for more information.

Additional Spring Cross Country Meet Details
Participants will be able to register for a designated start time slot:
Maximum of 9 registrants allowed per time slot (activity subcode).
Each participant will run a marked course for 1 to 3 miles max within boundaries of the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex.
Start/Finish line will be located on the practice field located adjacent to the rear of the stadium press box.
Each group of 9 registrants will arrive 10 minutes before the reserved start time and report to the check-in table located 10 yards from the start/finish area; runners will be allowed to stretch in a designated area overseen by event staff while maintaining face masks and physical distancing requirements.
Runners will be released in sets of three (3), each group separated by three-minute intervals.
Registrant will be required to wear face-covering during check-in and when exiting the facility after completing the course. Course monitors will be strategically deployed to ensure safe social distancing.
