As we go about our day, our attention generally focuses on what is necessary to us in the moment. As we move through our surroundings, certain areas inevitably go unnoticed. What we overlook is the subject explored in this group exhibition. Be it organic materials, locations, or objects--artists Stephanie Garon, Jon Malis, and Michael McSorley employ various art-making techniques to depict the forgotten and offer us an opportunity to rediscover purpose.

Lush color and fantastic imagery embody a vulnerable world, searching for balance, honesty, and happiness restored. Kyujin shares; "I believe that art is a potential healer, an emotional mender--happiness restored. This series of works is my interpretation of the flimsy armor of an illusion we often wear to weather the ebbs and flows of life. I want to find ways to re-address and redress our painful realities, present, and past, to confront them positively, to come to terms with suffering more truthfully.
